Practice just got smarter with Standards Mastery.

This back-to-school 2025 we’re enhancing your test prep strategy with more reflection, reinforcement, and results. Educators assign as many standards as needed to align with their curriculum and build high-quality, targeted practice. And with our new feedback and student-led retakes toggle features, students receive immediate item-level formative feedback and have up to two opportunities to try assignments again, putting ownership of proficiency in their hands. Because practice items mirror the format of state test questions, students gain valuable familiarity with what they’ll encounter on test day. We’re rolling out 50 brand-new lessons across grades 6–8 math and ELA, all part of a bold redesign to create a personalized learning experience unlike anything else for middle schoolers. Mastery Learning

We’re introducing a series of features that help educators take advantage of a mastery learning approach—one that focuses on helping students develop a stronger foundation of knowledge before moving on. This also helps reduce the teacher burden of managing students and assessment attempts.��To build toward full mastery learning, we're creating the ability to adjust the default mastery percentages to meet implementation policies and accommodate students with different needs. We’re also applying enforced sequencing to prevent students from jumping ahead.

End-to-End Enrollment Visibility

We’re expanding the tools available to educators to obtain a complete data story about learners who pass through any section in any program using Courseware reporting, regardless of enrollment or section status.��By introducing new report filters and dashboard tabs that allow scaled visibility into all enrollments and sections, we’re empowering administrators and instructors with a more straightforward path to meeting their reporting needs on their students, sections, programs, and districts.��

Grouping Design

High-impact tutoring is proven to be most powerful when taught in small groups of students with similar needs, but the complex task of building functional groups often delays intervention. In time for the new school year, we’re helping schools and districts make more efficient and informed decisions about building similar-ability student groups for high-impact tutoring.��

We use proprietary technology to design groups based on students’ academic and scheduling needs, providing districts with a considerable head-start in constructing groups that make sense and save time. Adjustments are made at the district’s discretion, keeping specialized decision-making exactly where it should be—in school leaders’ hands.��

Permissions: Edit Program Course Catalog

We’re improving global user management to allow administrators to flexibly control educator permissions, ensuring fidelity of program implementation. Administrators will soon be able to determine who may edit program courses catalogs, giving them peace-of-mind that the programs they’ve designed remain consistent from class to class, section to section.

Platform Reporting Enhancements

We’re simplifying our data access and reporting experience to reduce teacher and administrator burden. By consolidating all core reporting to a single reports screen in Courseware, simplifying reporting in Admin Center and Flex, and refining or enhancing available reports, customers will have access to our most popular reports in a modernized toolset.

Florida Research: Predict FAST scores with Exact Path

A 2024 study provides evidence that Exact Path diagnostic assessments yield highly accurate predictions of student test results on the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST). This research study linked fall and winter Exact Path diagnostic scores to FAST scores from the first two progress monitoring windows (PM1/fall and PM2/winter) in grades 6-8 in math and 6-10 in English language arts. Linking study results demonstrated that Exact Path Diagnostic scores could be used to predict whether students would be above or below the FAST passing cut score with 82%-91% accuracy. Learning Path Progress Report Update

We're increasing the precision of Exact Path's learning path reporting.

The Learning Path Progress Detail report previously showed "Mastered" or "Not Mastered" for students’ progress check success, but did not show the student's score (i.e. 0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% or 100%). We are enhancing the report to show students precise performance score to help educators more efficiently address student needs and integrate student performance data into other data-analysis tools they use.

Exact Path Impact Report: Updated NWEA Reporting

We’re increasing the effectiveness of student interventions for schools who integrate NWEA® MAP® Growth™ assessments with Exact Path.��

For NWEA assessments only, average test scores will now include the decimal part, up to the hundredths place.

Fluency Tasks to Enhance Universal Screening

We've added 2 new K-3 fluency task types to allow educators to identify and address students' decoding, word reading, and spelling difficulties: Nonsense Word Fluency and Letter Sound Fluency.

Nonsense Word Fluency tasks are used to screen for possible decoding problems and Letter Sound Fluency tasks are a strong predictor of reading readiness, such as word reading and spelling. These 24 brand-new oral fluency tasks can be used in conjunction with the reading diagnostic and other fluency tasks to universally screen students for reading difficulties including indicators of dyslexia.

Exact Path K-3 fluency tasks are one-minute oral fluency assessments designed to calculate words per minute and reading accuracy. Students read a printed passage aloud while the teacher simultaneously records any errors on their own printed document. These tasks can be regularly administered to inform instructional needs and results can be tracked within the system for progress reporting. When the Exact Path reading diagnostic is administered in combination with a fluency task, teachers leverage the resulting data to universally screen for reading difficulties and determine whether a student has risk factors for dyslexia.

Heading into the 2024-25 school year, access to updated national percentile ranks on post-COVID tests is crucial to accurately reflect student performance and reduce the overidentification of students needing intervention. To ensure educators have the most up-to-date data on student achievement to effectively drive targeted instruction, we've updated Exact Path diagnostic reporting for grades K-8 to include post-pandemic, seasonal norms. ��

Four reports in Exact Path (Aggregate Diagnostic, Class Results, Student Summary, and the Diagnostic Results Export) will automatically reflect post-pandemic, seasonally based norms.��This updated reporting helps educators precisely pinpoint students’ academic strengths and skill gaps and increase the impact of intervention across learning tiers.

We're improving our platform to elevate best practices for course section enrollments and ensure implementation fidelity. With this improvement, deprovisioned content will no longer be accessible to new enrollments within an existing course section.

North Carolina Research: Predict EOG scores with Exact Path

Exact Path diagnostic assessments yield highly accurate predictions of student results on the North Carolina End-of-Grade (EOG) tests. This research study linked fall, winter, and spring Exact Path diagnostic scores to spring EOG scores across grades 3-8 in mathematics and reading. Linking study results demonstrated that Exact Path Diagnostic scores can be used to predict whether students would be above or below the EOG proficient cut score with 77%-88% accuracy. This research study linked fall, winter, and spring Exact Path diagnostic scores to spring ACAP scores across all grades 4-8 in math and English language arts. Instructor Permissions: Complete a Student

This spring, we’re improving global user management by introducing the ability for administrators to flexibly control instructor permissions to complete or undo complete student enrollments in Courseware sections.��

The new account setting, which will be introduced to the Admin Center, adds to a growing list of user management updates that support better oversight and implementation consistency for educators, including, most recently, the ability to adjust if instructors can enroll and drop students from sections.

Edmentum Exact Path received the highest ratings possible as an Academic Screening Tool from the National Center on Intensive Intervention (NCII) for reading and mathematics in grades 3-8.
